hey honey, I’m Hazel

Welcome to The Hazel Honey Club! This has been a dream of mine for quite some time, but I didn't quite know how it would come to life.

This shop has simultaneously, and unconsciously, been taking shape in the background while my main focus was on other things. I didn't think it would turn into what it's become.

My Past Ventures

Since I was a kid, I wanted to start a business. I made business plans just for fun. In college, I actually surveyed people to test ideas. I launched my first real business right out of high school, and for my Sweet 16, I rented a party bus and charged people to ride. My mom wasn't sure about it at first, but we ended up paying for the whole bus with ticket sales and still walked away making money.

I've always been taste-testing life, trying new things, putting myself out there. At one point, I had a blog where I interviewed artists, wrote about their work, and eventually picked up a camera to start filming interviews with local shops. About ten years ago, I even started a "love yourself" campaign through one of my blogs, and later put together immersive art shows to showcase my own work.

The past several years have been focused on party design and photography. Now, life has called me to slow down and work with products instead. It gives me more flexibility in my schedule. It's funny looking back at how those early days shaped exactly what I'm doing now.

The Birth of The Hazel Honey Club

I'm not leaving those past chapters behind. I'm weaving them in. Party design still shows up through the styling of brand shoots for Hazel Honey Club, and photography finds its way in through a few fun projects I can't share quite yet. Down the road, I plan to host journaling workshops, which will bring party design back into the picture in a whole new way.

Really, this isn't a new direction so much as everything I've built finally coming together in one place.

Hazel Honey Club is a little space I've built for bringing women together. Through cafe hopping, journaling, and a monthly mail club, I want us to feel fully alive, expanded, and included. I believe healing happens in connection, creativity, and coming back to yourself, one cup, one conversation, and one page at a time.
