Blogtober Day 13: Healing through Art

We are all artists. There’s creativity that lives within each of us and when we tap into that creativity, we find life. When we create, we’re awakening our soul.

Crafting as a form of meditation

When we’re making something during an emotional heavy time, our mind has this opportunity to process. It’s like going for a walk and feeling better. Going outside connects you to Earth while moving/ walking connects you to your body. So, creating art connects us to our soul… our life force.

Try it for yourself

Give yourself 15 minutes to make something. It’s not about finishing in that time frame but at least starting. Don’t focus on the progress, be present with the materials. Choose something you’re not trying to monetize so your mind doesn’t bring perfectionism into it.

  • bedazzling

  • writing

  • dancing

  • making candles

  • painting

It's all art and there’s even more things you can do. Don’t know where to start? Google “art classes near me” or check out your local library. Choose anything. Don’t talk yourself out of it, you never know until you try! You may surprise yourself and discover something new.

That’s the art of it all ~ as you start creating and spending time with your soul, you begin unlocking more parts of yourself.

There’s no wrong or right way to create.

Let yourself play, get messy, and remain open minded. Get curious about what’s out there and what’s within you.
