Blogtober Day 3: Building a Self Care Toolkit

In life, we experience a variety of emotions but what can we do to get back to center? How can we connect back to joy, after feeling down?

For me, it’s by going back to my toolkit. In this toolkit, I have several different things, like…

  • making art

  • journaling

  • spending time outside

  • talking to friends

  • moving things around in my house to freshen up the energy

  • de-cluttering

  • and the list goes on

It took me actually spending time with myself and fully being in my life, to know what to put in my kit.

Have you taken time to curate a list of things tht help you process, get grounded, find peace, or experience bliss?

This is something you can turn to when you’re feeling stuck, lost, or confused. It can act as a reminder that you have the tools necessary to move forward ~ zoom out ~

If you want to have fun with it, you can cut out a toolbox, decorate it, and hang it up in your home somewhere. You can do this with yourself, your kids, or your friends! For something simpler, put it into a note on your phone and pin it (for easier access)!

A little blurry screenshot from a video I took! I hosted a Mommy and Me Self Care Spa Day where we put together self care toolkits!
